Maura Walsh
Traduction française par David Gaboriau
Maura Walsh spent her childhood in Clifden, in the West of Ireland. In her home both Irish and English were spoken. Later, the family moved to Galway. She has always liked poetry and rhyme and as a teen had work published in Ireland’s Own, Suil Siar, and Woman’s Own among others. As a young woman Maura was a fully qualified teacher of Irish. Unfortunately, treatment for a rare form of cancer left her with chronic health problems. In more recent years, she has contributed to the Galway Writers’ Workshop and Crannog magazine. She remains very exacting with her own work. “I have standards of my own that I feel I must reach.”
